Ventnor Towers is an elegant Victorian house built in 1872 and has been a hotel since the turn of the century. It is situated in what is often considered the most beautiful location on the island. Standing in its own grounds on the cliff-side on the southern coast, the hotel enjoys unrivalled views of the English Channel. Since Victorian times , Ventnor has been known as the Madeira of England because of its exceptionally mild and sunny climate, mainly due to the benefit of the Gulf Stream and the shelter of St. Boniface Down. The bar and restaurant, with panoramic views, are the perfect venues for enjoying a varied range of dishes, from single snacks to a five-course dinner from the daily changing menu, or simply relaxing with a drink..
