The Parkhurst Heritage group was formed in 1994, to promote the history of this fascinating Victorian establishment. 

Principal Officer John Kingsbury, and Officer Brian Manser, working completely independent of the Prison service, have successfully opened a museum, which is full of artifacts and items of interest from the prison. They have written a book on the subject, and also, they give talks to various groups Island-wide. All of this work is undertaken in their own time.
